
Turkey's electricity consumption rose by 11.3 percent in June 2012 over to the same month of 2011.
According to data by Turkey Electricity Transmission Company (TEIAS), electricity generation increased by 9.9 percent to 19.8 billion kWh in June 2012 compared to the same month of 2011.
Electricity generation was up by 8.2 percent to 118.8 billion kWh and electricity consumption also rose by 8.1 percent to 119.3 billion kWh year-on-year in the period between January and June 2012.
