Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yıldız has said the road to purchases will be cleared following some paper work and correspondence between the sides.
Yıldız said the following : "That will be done via the private sector. This is something we are doing, as we always do, by taking into account the sensitivities of the central Iraqi government. There is some work in that regard we are conducting not only with the Kurdish administration but also Basra in the south. This is to further consolidate Turkey's importance where strategic pipe lines are concerned. The dialogue we have had with friendly and sister Iraq is paying off. I also hope that will contribute to the normalization of Iraq. "
